The central government has requested the Supreme Court in today’s hearing to give more time for the consideration of the matter regarding providing an extra attempt for the UPSC Prelims 2021 examinations to be conducted this year.

The issue regarding the extra attempt of the civil services examination has been heard by the Supreme Court several times till now, and they had recently asked the central government to consider another attempt of the UPSC prelims 2021.

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court had asked the central government to present an affidavit regarding the government’s decision during the first hearing of the case. Today, the government has asked the apex court to give more time regarding the decision.

Candidates seeking extra UPSC prelims 2021 attempt

Many candidates came together to file a petition in the Supreme Court seeking an extra attempt for the UPSC civil services prelims 2021 exam. These candidates had appeared for their last attempt for the exam in 2020 and want another chance at the test.
