The candidates need to focus their preparation on these important topics so that they can cement their position in the IAS Preliminary Exam.
The Civil Services Exam (Preliminary) will be held on 2 June 2019. To clear the IAS Exam, one has to do smart preparation within a limited time-frame. The smart preparation is the one that is based on the analysis of given UPSC syllabus and previous year question papers. In the last few years, it has been found that most of the questions either in the IAS Prelims or IAS Mains Exam used to be closely related to the events that occurred in the recent past.
Besides this, IAS aspirants must prepare all the topics associated with the socio-economic, geographical, political, environmental, historical and cultural aspects of India.
For the benefit of IAS aspirants, we have prepared a short but a useful list of current affairs topics. If an IAS aspirant covers the topics listed in this article, more than 60% of the IAS Prelims Exam 2019 preparation can be effectively done. Besides the list will be useful during the preparation of the IAS Main Exam 2019.
